Based on volume, Charlotte Douglas International is the 7th busiest airport in the world. For those coming from the west, there are 5 nonstop flights daily from cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Denver. Several options exist for travel from Charlotte- Douglas International Airport to the downtown Charlotte hotels and convention center.
The Charlotte Airport shuttle is a reservation-based service. Simply complete the Charlotte Airport Shuttle form and ecoSeat (the company that facilitates the service) will send you details about available shuttles and rates. For same-day reservations, ecoSeat urges customers to call directly at 704-248-4809.
Taxi service is available curbside at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport on the baggage claim level. An attendant is on duty from 6:45 a.m.-12:15 a.m. The average taxi rate from the airport to downtown Charlotte is approximately $25.00.
